We had a very easy check-in and due to cancellations because of the conflict in the Middle East we were upgraded to the two-room, two-bathroom Presidential Suite.

Breakfast was included, with a range of Western and Egyptian hot dishes provided, yoghurts, fruits, pastries, eggs and juices.  It was a substantial spread.

In the evening we dined alfresco after ordering dishes from the main restaurant. We did not purchase any local Egyptian wine but enjoyed the local Egyptian beer – Sakkara.

We booked a two-night stay with a view of spending day 2 by the swimming pool.  Private cabanas were available.  After a busy three weeks travelling through Egypt the day spent by the pool drinking cocktails is what we needed to refresh ourselves for the next part of our journey to Bangkok.

Table tennis and billiards is available on the resort for a small fee.
